Babysitter and Children Safety (Youth First Aid)

  • Updated

As part of our mission to promote prevention and safety at all ages, we offer courses to youth and young teens. These courses are designed to increase safety awareness for self and others, to develop first aid skills, to responsibly care for younger children, and to provide help in the event of an emergency.

  • Stay Safe! : Ages 9–13 (minimum age 9 years or completion of Grade 3). The course teaches the importance of responsibility and accountability while on your own, how to stay safe at home and within the community, and how to prepare for unexpected situations. Includes basic first aid skills.
  • Babysitting : 11 years of age (or completion of Grade 5). The course teaches how to provide care to children in a variety of age groups, and how to prevent and respond to emergencies. It also offers youth the skills to promote themselves as babysitters to prospective families.
