Which course should I take?

  • Updated

The program categories for our courses include First Aid & CPR, Professional Responder, Psychological First Aid, Wilderness & Remote First Aid, Marine, Youth, and Caregiver.

The choice of course which best suits your needs may depend on provincial workplace legislation, employer requirements, personal or professional needs, or as a prerequisite for another program.

A certification course (CPR, Standard or Emergency First Aid, for example) requires demonstration of knowledge and skills to receive an official certification from the Canadian Red Cross which can be used as an employment or prerequisite requirement.

Non-certification workshops (Babysitting, First Aid Basics) provide knowledge and skills on a specific topic, however, does not result in an official certification.

For more information, please review the course descriptions linked in the chart below. You can also access the course description directly from the search results of our course catalog, Find a Course.
