This procedure guides the user (Learner, Instructor, or Training Partner) on how to change the email address associated to their Canadian Red Cross (CRC) login profile.
NOTE that an email associated with the login profile may be different than an email associated with correspondence received from the CRC. This scenario is also addressed below with login vs contact information email.
Requirements
You have previously created a My Red Cross (MyRC) profile and are currently able to log in. This procedure does not cover how to reset a password that has been forgotten.
Procedure
1. Go to Red Cross Training and select Sign In from the upper right of the page.
2. The login page appears. On the right-side panel, select the red ‘Forgot your password?’ link.
3. In the Email Address field, enter the email address that you currently use to log in and wish to update, then click the blue Send Verification Code button. NOTE: You must have successfully logged in at least once with the current email.
4. You will receive an email entitled ‘Microsoft on behalf of Canadian Red Cross’ from msonlineservicesteam@microsoftonline.com, with a six-digit code. Enter the code in the Verification Code field. Then click the blue Verify code button. If you surpass the time limit for code entry, then use the Send new code button.
5. Once the code has been verified, you can change the email address associated with your login profile. IMPORTANT: BEFORE clicking on the Continue button, enter the NEW email address in the Email Address field by typing over the existing one.
NOTE: The new email address must not already exist in the MyRC database, i.e.. It has not previously been associated with any other MyRC profile.
6. For the system to authenticate the new email associated to your profile, you must also create a new password. Enter it in the New Password field, and then again in the Confirm New Password. Then click the Continue button.
The procedure is complete. You can now log in to MyRC using your new email and new password as credentials.
MyRC Login email vs MyRC contact information email
The user profile in MyRC (My Profile) supports an email address which is used as contact information to receive correspondence from CRC. This may be a different email than the MyRC (Login) email. This procedure details how to change your contact information email.
How to change your MyRC email contact information
1. Go to Red Cross Training and Sign In to your account.
2. From the main navigation bar, select MY PROFILE, then My Profile. Alternately, from the top right of the page, select the drop-down arrow beside your login name, then select My Profile.
3. In the Your Info section of the My Profile page, enter your new email in place of your existing email in the Email field. NOTE: This email is used for contact information with the CRC. If you have a different email for log in to MyRC, continue to use it for access to your account.
4. Select the red Submit button at the bottom of the page to complete the email change.
