The Canadian Red Cross offers flexible learning solutions for all Canadians across their lifespan. Our Youth First Aid Program offers age-appropriate first aid knowledge and skills to youth with two courses targeting different age groups. Both courses focus on giving youth the skills they require, while increasing their capacity to improve safety and respond to challenges.
- Stay Safe! : Ages 9–13 (minimum age 9 years or completion of Grade 3)
- Babysitting : 11 years of age (or completion of Grade 5)
We also offer two free online training options to support Opioid Harm Reduction (OHR) with age requirements:
- First Aid for Opioid Poisoning Emergencies. For anyone 16 years of age and older.
- Becoming an Opioid Harm Reduction Champion. For anyone 13 years of age and older.
