What is the minimum age to take a course?

The Canadian Red Cross offers flexible learning solutions for all Canadians across their lifespan.  Our Youth First Aid Program offers age-appropriate first aid knowledge and skills to youth with two courses targeting different age groups. Both courses focus on giving youth the skills they require, while increasing their capacity to improve safety and respond to challenges.

  • Stay Safe! : Ages 9–13 (minimum age 9 years or completion of Grade 3)
  • Babysitting : 11 years of age (or completion of Grade 5)
